Z-Watch Pool 2008

Rules.

1. Each entrant nominates 5 names for inclusion.
2. Entry fee is £5, which provides the kitty for prizes.
3. Deaths occurring between 1st February 2008 & 31st December 2008 (inclusive) are eligible.
4. All names entered must be famous in their own right (actor, politician, sportsperson etc).
5. No fictional characters
6. All names entered must not be known to be suffering from terminal illness at the commencement of the pool.
7. All names entered must not have been sentenced to execution at the commencement of the pool.
8. Deaths must be able to be confirmed by notification in national press.
9. There will be a 'transfer window' open from 18^th June 2008 to 8^th July 2008. In this period each entrant can replace up to two of their celebs. Substitutes become 'active' on 9th July.
10. Winner will be the person having scored the most points at close of competition.
11. Prizes are:-

1st place - 60% of kitty
2nd place - 25% of kitty
3rd place - 15% of kitty

12. In the event of a tie, the prize shall be combined and divided equally between those tied. (eg 2 players tied for 1st - 85% of kitty / 2 = 42.5% each)

Scoring.

Each death gains points based on the following criteria:

100 - age at death = points received.

Bonus points for:

"The First Out of the Blocks" bonus for 1st death of competition - 5 points
"The Tail-End-Charlie" bonus for the last death of competition - 5 points
"The Unique Pick" bonus for no-one else choosing that person - 5 points
"The Own Goal" bonus for confirmed suicide - including overdose - 10 points
Accidental death (non-natural causes) - 15 points
"The Gotcha" bonus for assassination / murder - 20 points
"The Double Header" bonus for 2 deaths on the same day - 30 points
"The Full House" bonus for all 5 names dying - 40 points
